Showcases our Walnut Wash Estate Vineyard, located on the valley floor in Calistoga
A combination of warm temperatures and deep clay soils makes our site perfect for Sauvignon Blanc
A tête de cuvée Sauvignon Blanc fermented in French oak and aged on lees with weekly bâtonnage
Our winemaker hails from Bordeaux, lending her unique winemaking style to our Napa Valley fruit
The heart and soul of our winery is our estate Walnut Wash Vineyard, a gorgeous, oak-studded property that sits in the afternoon shadows of the Mayacamas Mountains. Our Sauvignon Blanc is made in a Pessac-Léognan style. It is then fermented with special yeast strains chosen for their ability to enhance flavors, texture and aromatics. Then aged sur lie for seven months with frequent stirring to increase body and mouthfeel. This powerful yet balanced wine offers a unique and delicious interpretation of Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc.

While a Ph.D. student in Enology at the Bordeaux Institute, she began making wine at Château Carbonnieux and La Louvière in Pessac-Léognan. For the next five years, she worked almost exclusively with Sauvignon Blanc, learning how to determine by taste the precise time to harvest the grapes to maximize the aroma and flavor of the wine.
