I came Napa in 1993 to work with wine. When I was introduced the vineyard, everything shifted and growing plants, mainly grapes, became my life’s focus.

Nature's balance is delicate and nuanced, and every action we take sets off a chain reaction. I try to be mindful in my approach to viticulture in order to make decisions that are truly holistic.

I arrived in Napa Valley in 1994, after a year of discovery and vineyard and winery work in Argentina. I have had the great fortune ever since of working with phenomenal vineyards, and having great mentors and collaborators.

Winemaking Philosophy:
I am very committed to the concept of terroir, and making wines that express the character of the vineyard. My winemaking is very low-tech, but with very high quality control standards. We do not fine or filter our red wines, and our whites are produced with minimal intervention, to capture the personality of our vineyard sites.
