Description
True Vineyard is an extreme site in the heart of Howell Mountain. Development started in the late 1990s after ripping, dynamiting and removing thousands of tons of rock. It took two years to prepare the site for planting. With the help of some amazing vintner friends, the vineyard was planted in 2002 using seven different clones of Cabernet Sauvignon. It was designed to show how different clones of Cabernet Sauvignon express themselves within the same vineyard. The wines from this vineyard reflect this special place. They have been described as "powerful yet elegant," "rich and concentrated yet amazingly plush and silky" and "revealing ... incredible purity." They offer pleasure upon release and develop seamlessly over many years. Our offering for Premiere Napa Valley 2025 brings together three blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon that provide an opportunity to experience the soul of this special place. We call these three blocks the “core” because they are the foundation of every True Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon ever made. We start with the “Core” and add pieces of the other blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon to the blend to shape what becomes the True Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. Enjoy the “True Core."
