Winemaker, Clos Pegase
Robin came to Napa Valley in 2009, working with winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown at Outpost and Schrader Cellars. He joined Envy Cellars in Calistoga as winemaker, where he made the highly regarded Envy and Carter wines since 2010.
A native of Scotland, Robin rings vast international experience from the cellars of New Zealand, France and Australia. After graduating from the University of Edinburg, he received a graduate degree in viticulture and enology from Lincoln University in Christchurch, New Zealand. In addition to two harvests in New Zealand, Robin made wine and worked harvest in Languedoc-Roussillon, at Burgundy's famed Domaine Leflaive and in Australia's Barossa Valley with Tow Hands Winery before moving to the Napa Valley to establish roots after eight consecutive harvests around the world in four years.
