Description
The 2021 Round Pond Estate SVS is a blend of our most elite tier of wines, the Gravel Series. With almost 40 years of winegrowing experience on our Rutherford estate, we have identified unique gravel streaks running through the vineyards that produce extraordinary fruit.
Combined with prized fruit from our 10-acre Oakville Bench estate and the deft hands of winemakers Thomas Rivers Brown and John Wilson, this ultra rare five-case lot blends the best of our Gravel Series Cabernet Sauvignons: Scholars Gate, The Vow and Secret Garden (SVS).
Opulent, serious and voluptuously textured, your wine is a showstopper that will turn heads for years to come.

John Wilson
Winemaker, Round Pond Estate
John brings a wealth of experience through various
winemaking positions in Napa and Sonoma counties. A
graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder, he has most
recently been the Winemaker at Vine Cliff Winery. He has
worked with Thomas Rivers Brown and held winemaking roles
at notable wineries including Thomas George Estates, Littorai
Wines in Sonoma and Rivers-Marie and Outpost Wines in
Napa.

Winemaker, Round Pond Estate
One of the most sought after winemakers in the Napa Valley today, Thomas is known for his non-interventionalist winemaking style that allows the fruit to speak for itself. A native of Sumter, South Carolina, Thomas began his career in the Napa Valley in 1997. Self-taught, Thomas began making wine in 1999. As our consulting winemaker, Thomas guides the wine direction of our Round Pond Estate portfolio and collaborates closely with our estate winemaker Jeff Plant.
