From Chateau Boswell, A Secret Garden's Secret Garden. The To Kalon vineyard's reputation as a Napa Valley “Grand Cru” is indisputable. A century of great Cabernet Sauvignons attest to its majesty. What many don't know is the existence within it of a few rows of Cabernet Franc. A secret garden's secret garden, if you will.
For Premiere, we've chosen to blend the power, density and richness of our Beckstoffer To Kalon Clone 4 Cabernet Sauvignon with the elegant, feminine and perfumed Beckstoffer To Kalon Cabernet Franc. This wine is a saturated, purple ruby color, with notes of grilled meat, mineral and cassis jumping from the glass. The Cabernet Franc weaves notes of grilled herbs and cigar tobacco with
the loam and olive typical of To Kalon. The silky tannins coat, then melt across the palate, delivering everything that the bouquet promised.
