Description
In the legendary words of Eddie Money from his seminal hit song “Two Tickets to Paradise,” we “Waited So Long” for this Cabernet block to ripen. After the spring from hell delayed flowering past the two June storms, we ended up with a full set in our estate Cabernet Sauvignon. Despite the late start I had a hunch that the summer would be warmer than 2010. It was…barely.
This block that we’ve chosen to feature at Premiere, was picked November 2—the latest we have ever picked. But the resulting wine has great perfume, a big, rich complex body and a finish that indeed, is worth waiting a long time for.
