Merryvale Vineyards is a family-owned Napa Valley winery dedicated to passionate winemaking and the fine art of living well. Our wines seek the perfect balance between elegance and intensity. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon comes from our David Abreu-farmed Merryvale Estate Vineyard, which lies in the hills east of St. Helena at almost 900 feet elevation. Opulent flavors of cassis, blackberry, kirsch and mocha are seamlessly integrated with the fine tannins that have become a signature of the vineyard. Enjoy! The Schlatter Family

My goal after school was to expose myself to as much variety in winemaking styles and traditions as possible, with internships around the world (Tuscany and New Zealand) and across the north coast of California. The depth and power of mountain-grown Cabernet-based wines drew me back to Spring Mountain at Cain Vineyard & Winery, then later on across the valley to Merryvale's estate vineyard in the hills east of St. Helena. This remains my focus and my passion today.

Q&A With the Winemaker
Q: Premiere Napa Valley wines are innovative and allow each winery to showcase the region's sense of exploration in fine winemaking. What kind of exploration did your Premiere Napa Valley wine allow you to do?
A: Our Premiere Wine is an expression of what one of our favorite blocks at our Estate Vineyard gives us in a particular vintage. It was planted over ten years ago under the direction of David Abreu (who still farms it for us), Michel Rolland and our winemaking team. The vineyard sits at almost 900 feet elevation and is a great showcase of St. Helena hillside terroir.
