Cabernet Sauvignon
Spring Mountain District

Description

Barnett Vineyards Estate is located 2050 feet in elevation atop Spring Mountain. The boulder-infused soil and 35 degree-terraced slopes offer perfect sun exposure, while the cooling night winds allow a longer period of flavor development before the sugars. At the very top of our estate is a small andesite volcanic outcrop, where we grow the well-renowned Rattlesnake Hill Cabernet Sauvignon, which perenially sells out before being bottled.

For Premiere, we chose—for the first time ever—to blend small amounts of all four of our estate varietals with Cabernet Sauvignon from Rattlesnake Hill. This will create a softer, lusher wine, but one that retains the dynamic flavor profile of this intense and exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon as its core.
