Stag's Leap Wine Cellars' founder Warren Winiarski looked to the pedigree of the past and the promise of the future to create this extraordinary blend. Fruit from S.L.V. Block 4 —the oldest vines on the estate property, and always a prized component of CASK 23 — joins with fruit from the youngest vines on the estate property in FAY Block 8C4, whose ground also has a history of producing fruit worthy of our finest wine. Youthful cassis and black fruit character from FAY Block 8C4 interplays with the refined tannins and spice of S.L.V. Block 4. Together, they create a wine of poignant beauty and significance.
