Be the first person to take home a Calistoga AVA appellation wine from Sterling Vineyards, a historic winery anchored in the heart of Napa Valley's newest AVA.
Raising a glass to Sterling's 43-year history on Dunaweal Lane, this Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon was created from vineyards you can view from our winery's south terrace. The main portion of this lot comes from a five-ton barrel-fermented Cabernet Sauvignon from one of our best loved vineyards, directly off the Silverado Trail. Fermented as whole berries, 400 pounds at a time, in Saury and Seguin Moreau M+ FO barrels, this wine also underwent a 32-day extended maceration. Rounded out with a touch of one-ton bin fermented Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc to give structural punch and aromatic verve, this is a truly special wine. Aged in 100% new French oak, our Sterling Vineyards 2010 Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon is a worthy addition to any avid collector's cellar. Enjoy exploring Calistoga – with this exceptional example of all the region has to offer.
