This exclusive auction lot is a celebration of our heritage and his craftsmanship, anchored by grapes from earlier-ripening parcels from our prized Rutherford vineyards BV #1 and BV #2. Crafted at our state-of-the-art reserve winery, exclusively dedicated to our Reserve Cabernet Sauvignons, this barrel encapsulates the essence of Tchelistcheff’s influence and pays homage to the golden era of winemaking from the WWII era through the early 1990s. This unique and irreplaceable offering was matured in 100% once-used American oak barrels for 22 months. It showcases the plushness, signature freshness and “Rutherford Dust” cocoa powder texture and character of our historic Rutherford estate vineyards.
