This rare expression of Napa Valley winemaking is one of only 60 bottles that will ever be made. Think of it as a bit of Napa Valley history in your cellar and celebrated in a glass with friends and family.
The Cabernet Saivignon grapes for your Premiere Napa Valey wine were grown in S. R. Tognella’s Rutherford Bench estate vineyard, reflecting a unique expression of Rutherford Dust terroir. The grapes were hand-farmed, hand-harvested and hand-sorted prior to aging in French oak barrels. The favorite barrel of this vintage was chosen by for this special wine. The resulting wine is complex and balanced, with tones of dark fruit and savory spices with lush tannins and a pleasant, lengthy finish.

Frederic Delivert
Winemaker, S. R. Tonella Cellars
Born and raised in France, his first experience with California wine industry happened in 1991, during an harvest internship while enrolled at the Ecole Superieure d'Agriculture de Purpan (in Toulouse) to get his Masters degree in agriculture. The experience abroad was so interesting that Frederic came back after graduating and started to compile a great experience in winemaking, with tenures at Newton, Far Niente, Duckhorn, Plumpjack and Cade, and most recently Martin Estate and Clark-Claudon. Frederic is convinced that winemaking starts in the vineyard. When grapes are brought to their best potential, then winemaking is just choosing the right path to express it. At S. R. Tonella Cellars, Frederic continues the tradition of site specific expression of Rutherford Appellation wine.
