Description
Beginning in1992, when Jacob E. Safra put together an 845-acre estate on Spring Mountain, he had a singular goal: to make one red wine to equal the finest in the world, a wine with structure, complexity, elegance and longevity.
To capture the nuances of the multiple hillside vineyard blocks, he insisted that each be made separately into wine, and he routinely tasted the dozens of lots made each vintage. His goal eventually became embodied in an artfully blended wine called Elivette.
This Bordeaux-style blend is a sister wine to Elivette, specially blended for Premiere. Aromas of raspberry, cranberry, red currant, violet and lavender support concentrated flavors of red and black fruit, cocoa, cassis and black tea. The mouth feel is supple with refined tannins. The structure is one of balance, designed for graceful maturation.
