In celebration of both our seventh vintage building the continued collaboration of Mario Bazán in the vineyard and Victoria Coleman in the winery, and our inaugural appearance at Premiere Napa Valley, we offer you a blend from our very favorite barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Based on his more than 30 years’ vineyard experience, Mario selected two vineyards—our own estate vineyard and one located in the Coombsville AVA—to feature in this wine. It is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, and epitomizes classic Napa Valley Cabernet. Victoria deftly blended wines from these two exceptional sources to create an elegant wine that displays depth and focus on the fruit, coupled with an extraordinary mouthfeel and beautiful textural components.

I began making cabernet sauvignon for Mario Bazan Cellars in 2005. In 2009, sauvignon blanc was added to the portfolio. Since then, I have taken winemaking projects for Lobo Wines, Tyge William Cellars in Sonoma, and most recently, Jade Valley Winery in China.

Winemaking Philosophy:
Do as much as possible in the vineyard to balance the grape clusters with the number of leaves to reach near perfect ripeness with lots of character. Do as little as possible with the fruit in the cellar to allow it to give the wine a sense of time and place.
