Q: Premiere Napa Valley wines are innovative and allow each winery to showcase the region's sense of exploration in fine winemaking. What kind of exploration did your Premiere Napa Valley wine allow you to do?

A: We wanted to compliment the elegance of our old vine Sauvignon Blanc by selecting and specifying a very special Tonnellerie Bel Air French Oak Barrel.

Q: What was your inspiration for this offering?

A: We hoped to create a Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc reminiscent of the incredible Bordeaux Blanc wines of France.

A: I chose to make this wine from this particular  Coquerel Estate Vineyard  because  I chose to make this wine from this particular blend because the wine is fruitful and friendly with food. The goal is to produce wines which match delicate food. This lot of Sauvignon blanc offered to PNV come from our vineyard in Calistoga which has a special terroir for Sauvignon blanc. The wine was specially fruity passion fruit, grape fruit, with a smooth mouth feel and long finish of aroma. It match with a lot of delicious foods from cheeses, sea food, sushi, to curry sauces, and Thai foods.

Q: Why should a wine lover have a bottle of this wine in their cellar?

A: It was produced with a labor of love and will age nicely in their cellar.
