Description
A well-structured, highly regarded wine should always speak to "place" for the consumer. In this case Coombsville is doing all the talking. Sourced from Celebration Vineyard, this small vineyard is regarded for its meticulous farming. The chalky minerality that is ever-present in the soil is also carried through into the finished wine. The southern valley location lends to a cooler climate complexion, and the longer hang time boasts concentrated, layered flavors. Aging for 30 months in a French oak barrel coopered from the forests of Allier and Vosges.

Dan Dexter

Dan Dexter grew up amid 400 acres of grain fields farmed by seven generations of Dexters in Toulon, IL.
He grew up in a family where farming isn't just a career, but a way of life. A family that values hard work and doing what's right - values that Dan still carries today.
While working for a biotech company, Dan met Lorin Brambila, son of prominent Napa Valley winemaker, Gustavo Brambila. The two men became friends, finding common ground over their shared agricultural background and their mutual interest in wine.
Lorin, who through his family was involved in vineyard management and winemaking invited Dan to help with a grape harvest. That first experience felt invitingly familiar to Dan, and it reignited his connection to agriculture. As that passion grew, Dan pursued a vision of producing wine, and in 2012, AvinoDos was born.
