Description
Amazing vintage. Amazing wine. But it didn't come easily. Our TEXTBOOK "Boulders, barrels & bruises" 5-case lot comes from a rocky Oakville District site next door to Screaming Eagle, and the site requires effort to extract it's most precise flavors. Dodging boulders and rolling barrels led to some bruises, but they were worth it. Hand-pruned, hand-picked and three times sorted berry-by-berry, this special lot is a 80/20 blend of dense Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon and richly textured Merlot. Matured for 20 months in superb new French barrels, it will showcase bold flavors in its youth, and reward those with patience to hold onto some bottles ten years down the road. It's TEXTBOOK.
