We only make 400 cases each year of our
regular releases, so a blend like this Premiere
Napa Valley lot is extremely rare—all estate
fruit, all family-grown and all family-made.
We’re very proud of both our family approach
and this blend that shows the character,
balance and intensity that typically come
from our hillside terraces.
This Cabernet was crafted in an Old-World
style, seeking balance and complexity, and
blended with small amounts of Petit Verdot,
Merlot and Cabernet Franc. 2008 was a
wonderful vintage, expressing lively floral
and dark cherry notes on the nose, with
intense blueberries, sage and milk chocolate
dominating the palate. The tannin structure
is round, providing a balanced, velvety
mouthfeel complemented by faint sweet
oak. It is a classically structured, subtle and
interesting wine.
