Description
This is the first production from the Clone 7 section of our 1.4-acre Cabernet vineyard at the top of Howell Mountain. This single-barrel select wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the fruit and tannins are in perfect harmony, offering the best possible wine from this vineyard.
This wine is a made exclusively from the UCD 7 clone of Cabernet Sauvignon. The lot underwent native fermentation in a small open-top tank, managed with hand punch downs and long, extended maceration. Deep red in hue, the wines aroma's are of blackberry, cherry, rose, smoke and spice. Cherry and wild berries carry through on the palate, and are joined by pencil-lead, fall leaf and cedar, and a generous palate. The wine finishes with fine-structured tannins, spice and dark fruit.

Tim joined our team in May of 2006, and also consults for wineries in Napa, Sonoma and beyond. He studied molecular plant plant pathology at Cornell University, and enology and viticulture at UC Davis. His wines have repeatedly been included in top 100 wines of the world lists, and received accolades from major review publications.
