Description
This one of a kind wine is a blend of 2 unique Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard blocks that were hand selected for their richness and complexity of flavor. Each vineyard belongs to one of the Burgess brothers and comes together in perfect harmony. Jim Burgess’s Haymaker Vineyard on the eastern side of Howell Mountain produces dark, dense fruit flavors with soft tannins while Steve Burgess’s Ranch Vineyard on the western side lends subtle red fruit flavors with the perfect balance of acid. This wine is the epitome of a mountain Cabernet Sauvignon.

I fell into winemaking by accident, and what a happy accident it has become! As a winemaker, I've been fortunate to work with some of the best fruit in the valley ranging from the beautiful hillsides of Howell Mountain to the fabulous valley floor vines in Rutherford and beyond. I've had the pleasure of working with some of the finest winemakers that have helped shape and form my winemaking philosophies and techniques. I love the challenge that each vintage brings, and taking what Mother Natures gives us to create elegant, world-renowned wines.
