In this inaugural Premiere lot for TATE, the first of many. We took our two Cabernet Sauvignon mountain, micro single vineyards that we work with and created an amazing blend. 50% comes from atop Howell Mountain, where this less than an acre vineyard is meticulously hand-tended by the vineyard owner producing perfect fruit that results in amazing aromatics. The other 50% comes from the cool Mt. Veeder appellation. This late ripening vineyard contributes concentration and structure. Together this initial TATE premiere lot is a stunning wine with an amazing ability to age for many years to come.

Letting the vineyard express itself in the wine. It is about a sense of place being evident in the wine, not the winemaking.
