Description
Esteemed by many as the best block of Cabernet Sauvignon of Stagecoach's 350 acres of Cabernet, M5 always comes through in normal and challenging vintages with a delicious, structured and age-worthy wine.
After tasting through all the individual lots from the vintage, Dr. Krupp and winemakers Tres Goetting and Aaron Pott chose to feature M5 as the core of their Premiere offering, then layered it with small percentages from other Stagecoach blocks to achieve their vision of the perfect blend. All the selected wines were aged in 85% new French oak barrels—Taransaud and Bossuet cooperages—chosen for their ability to add structure while enhancing the bold fruit for which Stagecoach’s mountain vineyard is renowned.
