Description
Imagine one bottle of wine capturing the entire Napa Valley in a bottle? That's precisely what FOURTEEN has accomplished. One ton of grapes from each of Napa Valley's 14 sub-appellations blended together to create a Meritage (Calistoga AVA was not yet approved when the 2008 blend was created). To make this Premiere blend unique we have chosen only the best of the best from our lots to create a truly decadent wine. Approval of the Calistoga AVA in 2009 is very exciting and will make our wine even more intriguing and complex having wine from each of Napa's 15 sub-appellations. We purchased fruit from Calistoga AVA in 2009 and will change the name of our wine to FIFTEEN with the release of our 2009 vintage!

Q: Premiere Napa Valley wines are innovative and allow each winery to showcase the region's sense of exploration in fine winemaking. What kind of exploration did your Premiere Napa Valley wine allow you to do?
A: Premier is always the Iron man of of wine making challanges. It challanges us to look deeper each year into finding our favorite flavors, textures and aromas......and then do them better.
Q: What was your inspiration for this offering?
A: Take all the regions of Napa individually and make a wine that each region or subappellation would be proud to call thiers; blend them into a hugely wonderful complex wine that looks alot, feels alot and tastes alot like this great valley we call Napa. I like to call this wine the "UN" of Napa Valley...bringing it all togegether.

A: I chose to make this wine from this particular Mix of all of Napa, using 4 of the 5 Noble grapes because These grapes have proven to grow best in each area we have chosen, and have married well over numerous trials. The best picture of Napa we could paint with grapes off the vine.
Q: Why should a wine lover have a bottle of this wine in their cellar?
A: No other wine from Napa has all the parts. This wine can truely be called Napa Valley. It will age worthy beautiful wine for years to come....breath taking.
Q: Any quote, poem, lyric you feel represents this wine?
A: Indidually the parts are wonderful, but sum of the parts is beautiful.
