Description
Sagrantino is one of Italy’s oldest red grapes, grown only in a small area around the town of Montefalco, in the Umbria region. With only 250 acres planted and a limited number of wineries producing it, the wine is not widely known outside of Italy. Benessere is proud to have the only half-acre planted in Napa Valley, and with 2006 being our first harvest of this exclusive variety, we thought it perfect to share this special wine first at Premiere Napa Valley. Sagrantino is one of the most tannic varietals in the world, producing an elegantly deep, dark purple wine that is full-bodied and rich, with spicy characteristics. This ageworthy and rare discovery will make your Napa Valley wine collection complete!
