Description
The 2002 Wolf Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon made for Premiere Napa Valley 2004 is a blend of barrel selections of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec, all from the Wolf Family Vineyards estate in St. Helena. This is a departure from the Wolf Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon in the blending of a large percentage of Cabernet Franc, and the use of Malbec and Merlot. The Caberent Franc is from old vines grown on a rocky slope, alongside the new plantings of Malbec and Merlot—all grown in an excellent area for the Bordeaux varieties. The complexity and richness from these varietals, along with the depth from the Cabernet, results in a lush wine with excellent aging potential.
