Description

Our Premiere offering is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from St. Helena. We started with grapes from three vineyards representing the diversity of the appellation: one up against the hills on the west side of the valley; one on the southeast valley floor; and the last in the northeast hills. We kept each lot separate, and aged them in French oak barrels from five different coopers, giving winemaker Mark Porembski plenty of choices when it came time to create our Premiere wine. From this palette, Mark created a special barrel of Cabernet Sauvignon for Premiere, one that he feels best accentuates the fruit, demonstrates the precision of the tannins and highlights the natural balance of these vineyard sites.
