Description
Armstrong Ranch is the source of this distinctly rich and layered single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. Located just west of Calistoga, the vineyard is planted on an extreme hillside with an elevation range of 850 to 1,200 feet. The thin, volcanic soils are laden with obsidian and very limiting—resulting in only two tons per acres of intensely concentrated fruit. The resulting wine shows notable depth and complexity, highlighted by an elegant finish. This unique offering has lush aromas and flavors of blackberry, roasted coffee, anise and dark chocolate.
