Description
Among rugged canyons and isolated valleys are iconic vineyards producing wines of such instantly recognizable character that they could only come from one very special place, Mt. Veeder. The winegrowing on Mt. Veeder is not for the timid. The usual practices must be forgotten at high elevations, where thin soils barely hold water and rocky terrain challenges both rootstock and man. These dramatic conditions result in tiny berries with intense flavor. Extended sun exposure helps develop flavor and ripen tannins. Your one-of-a-kind wine is muscular, firm and dense with ripe fruit, possessing an expansive mouthfeel and great balance. Aged in French oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered, your 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is selected exclusively for Premiere Napa Valley from the very best vineyard blocks Mt. Brave has to offer.

Winemaker, Mt. Brave
I began as a harvest enologist at Domaine Carneros, then a viticulturist intern at Domaine Chandon as I was pursuing an MS in viticulture and enology at UC Davis. During my last year at UC Davis, I spent six months making wine at Tenute Antinori in Tuscany, Italy. Following graduation, I joined the winemaking team at the Cardinale estate as enologist and in 2000 became the winemaker for Lokoya. A year later, I was appointed winemaker for Cardinale and in 2005 for La Jota Vineyard Co.
