Description
This rare expression of Napa Valley winemaking is one of only 60 bottles that will ever be made. Think of it as a bit of Napa Valley history in your cellar and celebrated in a glass with friends and family.
In crafting this classic blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon the Matthiassons were fascinated with the feminine side of these varieties. They sought to highlight the aromas, finesse and length that it is possible to capture in the cool and breezy Oak Knoll District. Your Premiere Napa Valley wine is aromatic, feather-light and wonderfully clean, yet long and complex. No new oak was used and a purity of fruit comes through. The Cabernet Franc beckons you to "come hither," the Merlot wraps you in a soft embrace and the Cabernet Sauvignon provides strength and staying power. These are the Three Sisters.

Years of working with different wineries on the vineyard side of the business has helped me understand the relationship between viticulture and wine. After a decade of exploring making wine from different grape varieties, vineyard sites, and farming techniques I started making our Matthiasson wines in 2003. I strive to make wines that are ripe and powerful yet food friendly and moderate in alcohol. We grow traditional Napa varieties like Cabernet and Chardonnay as well as less common varieties such as Ribolla Gialla and Cabernet Franc.

Our philosophy is to focus entirely on the vineyard, growing organic grapes that naturally make balanced age-worthy wines which complement food and require a minimum of intervention in the cellar.
