Sterling Vineyards’ Hill & Dale Premiere Napa Valley lot captures the essence of two profound Napa Valley Cabernet AVAs: Rutherford and Diamond Mountain. While some may be inclined to favor hillsides over valley floor, or vice versa, this lot proves an exploration of the complementary aspects of both. Rich, round and chocolatey tannins from Rutherford lend expanse and breadth to the palate of this wine. Intense black fruit aromas and big structure from Diamond Mountain provide the depth and backbone. Each AVA balances the other, creating a pleasing and voluptuous wine that is a joy to share now or to lay down for a few years. Why be content with hill or dale only, when you can relish both in the same glass?
Aging Process
Aged 18 months in 100% new French oak barrels. Created entirely in our new Reserve Winery at Sterling Vineyards.

Harry Hansen
Winemaker, Sterling Vineyards
Prior to being named senior winemaker at Sterling Vineyards, Hansen held the position of director of winemaking for Edna Valley. Hansen's tenure with Edna Valley began in 2001 as winemaker and was ultimately promoted to director of winemaking in 2008.
