Description

This blend was inspired by our passion for Cabernet Franc in celebration of the incredible affinity it has to our distinct hillside vineyard. As our Premiere Napa Valley debut lot, we offer a blend that highlights the character of the site through this amazing variety. The elegance, balance and harmony of the Cabernet Franc are further complemented through touches of Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Planted to very dense spacing, the vineyard consistently provides wines of layered concentration and vibrancy. Fermentation in 60- gallon barrels allows for gentle extraction of the tannins, flavors and aromas, as well as permitting us to separate out small, distinct sections of blocks, thereby preserving remarkable characteristics of single vines. Extended barrel aging of 26 months continues to integrate the eloquent tannins to a sumptuous richness. This offering is a testament to our dedication and passion for producing the best possible wine reflective of its origin from our distinctive vineyard site, and a tribute to the devoted and appreciative wine drinker and connoisseur.
