2002 Petite Sirah
Napa Valley
Markham Vineyards is excited to offer our Petite Sirah produced from dry-farmed, 80-year-old vines. The wine is aged for one year in new American oak barrels, then completes its aging in new French oak barrels to give it a sweet oak finish. Remarkably, the 200 percent new oak never overwhelms this amazing wine. It shows power and depth of concentration while providing lush, ripe blackberry fruit, and has staying-power to last and last! Our winning bidder is encouraged to participate in blending with the winemaker at Markham Vineyards.
