Description
As a geologist/vintner, I've spent almost 20 years identifying vineyards that produce grapes with distinctive terroir. One of my searches lead to the discovery of Lynch Valley high on the eastern hillsides of Napa, underlain by well-drained marine sandstones and shale. The old vines here proved to provide delicious wines with marvelous extraction due to their meager production. Normally a key component of our Cabernet blend, we've bottled these five cases separately.
