I began by following my father around at Villa Mt. Eden, now Plumpjack, back in the late 1970's. From there he moved to Groth and I got to know my way around the crush pad. In 1995 I entered into the Vit. and Enol. program at Davis and in '98 graduated with a B.S. degree. In 1999 I began work for the Venge label and in 2008 took the brand over. In addition, I've been a consulting winemaker for the past 10 years.
