Description
TORCIA, meaning "torch," is an homage to our family legacy of passing down our knowledge and love for crafting excellent wine for over three generations - and also searching for hidden gem vineyards throughout Napa Valley. Sourced from vineyard sites at the base of the Vaca Mountains, your wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that marries the very best of the Coombsville and Rutherford appellations. Like an exquisite sonata where Coombsville is the main player with its ripe fruit, elegance and freshness, Rutherford joins with its power, structure and signature dusty tannins. The wine is aging in 100% new French oak, bringing flavors and nuances together in harmony for an approachable wine upon release, but allowing it to age gracefully for decades to come.

Marc joins Rutherford Wine Company with a strong background in California winemaking, with a focus on Napa and Sonoma. He was most recently the winemaker for Treasury Wine Estate’s Etude Wines. He gained experience with other brands such as Chateau St. Jean, Sledgehammer and Run Riot and has international experience with Wolf Blass in Barossa Valley.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Wine and Viticulture/Enology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
