Description
Our 2023 Premiere lot Cabernet Sauvignon showcases the best wine we could produce from the stellar 2023 vintage in Napa Valley. The late harvest in 2023 allowed for long hang time and slow, even flavor development. We we able to harvest the fruit at ideal flavors and chemistry to produce powerful wines in Casey Stringer's signature bright red fruited style. We chose three of our our favorite Cabernet lots from vintage and blended them in equal parts. We chose Old Mondavi Clone 7 from Ghost Block in Yountville, Clone 337 from the Pritchard Hill portion of Stagecoach Vineyard and Clone 7 from the Holmes Vineyard in Oakville. This wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aging in 66% new tight grain French oak for 19 months.

Casey Stringer
Winemaker, Stringer Cellars
Casey Stringer was raised in the midwest by a family of food and wine lovers. While in high-school his family was traveling in the Bay area to visit prospective colleges and due to unforeseen circumstance had several days open up in their busy travel schedule. They decided to head to the Napa Valley. It was in Napa where Casey fell in love with the wine-country lifestyle, vineyard filled landscapes and wine. Casey ended up going to photography school in Santa Barbara and working at wineries in the nearby Santa Ynez Valley. From there he moved north to work at wineries in Napa, then Oregon and eventually New Zealand to attend school for a formal education in winemaking. After meeting his wife and moving back to Wisconsin, he took a hiatus from the wine-industry to work in management for his families manufacturing business. In 2015 wine called him back and Stringer Cellars was born.
