Gamble Family Vineyards specializes in carefully crafted red wines. Your unique Premiere Napa Valley blend marries the very best from two distinctive estate vineyards in the Oakville and Rutherford nested appellations, as well as a small lot from our highest elevation vineyard in Mount Veeder. Together, the harmonious final blend—mostly classic Cabernet Sauvignon but with invaluable contributions from Cabernet Franc and Merlot—is concentrated, refined and above all, delicious.

Tom Gamble
Winemaker, Gamble Family Vineyards
Tom Gamble is a third-generation Napa Valley farmer whose family has been farming in the valley since 1916. While studying at UC Davis, Tom planted a vineyard in 1981, marking the family’s move into grape growing. After decades of farming for many of Napa Valley’s leading wineries, Tom bottled his first wines under his family’s name in 2005.
Today, Tom farms 124 acres of estate vineyards across Oakville, Rutherford, Mount Veeder, and Yountville. His approach is rooted in organic regenerative farming, with a focus on soil health, vine balance, and long-term stewardship. An early adopter of high-density planting, Tom believes expressive wines begin in the vineyard. His contribution to environmental stewardship includes leadership in the Napa Green Program and the Napa River Restoration Project.
At Gamble Estates, Tom works with Philippe Melka and Maayan Koschitzky of Atelier Melka to produce wines shaped by restraint, balance, and clarity, allowing each vineyard’s character to come through in the glass.
