Description
Our "Riserva" Sangiovese is our homage to the traditional, Old World wines. Grapes are sourced from older vines in rocky soils in the Oakville nested appellation, which are known for producing bold, iconic red wines. The strength of this vineyard yields Sangiovese with outstanding tannin structure, allowing for extended barrel aging in 70 percent new Hungarian and French oak - unusual for this variety. A warm fermentation and barrel aging regime produces lively notes of wild blackberry and cola, sprinkled with baking spice and cloves.

I aim to make food friendly wines that are elegant, yet powerful and ageable. I prefer minimal intervention to allow the vineyards to show their individual characteristics.
