Coup de Foudre (“when lightning strikes”) presents a very special offering for Premiere Napa Valley, a 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon that we’ve named The Lightning Bolt Blend.
One barrel trumped all others. This one-of-a-kind electrifying Cabernet Sauvignon aged in Taranssaud is elevated by 2% Petit Verdot and grounded with 4% Cabernet Franc. This won't strike twice!
Intense blueberry and ripe dark fruit set the tone for this rich, complex wine. Well-integrated oak tannins intertwine with soft grape tannins to fill out the mouthfeel and extend the finish. A balanced aromatic matrix show nuances of dark chocolate, vanilla bean and ripe cherries.

I was born in southern Louisiana, where my grandfather owned a wine distribution company. The culinary aspects of the area, and the fine wines introduced by my grandfather inspired me to pursue a winemaking career.

Education: I graduated from U.C. Davis with a Viticulture and Enology degree and interned at J. Wine Company and Spring Mountain Vineyards. I then worked at Duckhorn Wine Company for five years.
Years in the wine industry: 10-15 years
Winemaking Philosophy:
For the past 20 years, we have had the great fortune and honor to work with wine, savor it and witness its impact on consumers as they navigate the wonders of wine and the sheer pleasure that it brings.
