Oakville AVA

Auction 14 | Lot No. 161
Vintage: 2008
PlumpJack Winery
Cabernet Sauvignon
Oakville
5 cases produced
Description
PlumpJack and CADE winemaker Anthony Biagi wanted this year's PlumpJack Premiere lot to be especially dynamic, so he produced an offering solely of To Kalon grapes. In 2008 we received a small amount from the famed vineyard on the western side of Oakville, widely considered as one of the world's greatest. We have always been excited about the wines that hail from this property and are excited about this distinctive wine.
Fermentation took place in a brand-new, 130-gallon Sylvain oak barrel. After fermentation, we bled off the free run straight into a new Taransaud French oak barrel. This wine will age for roughly 24 months.
This year's lot will be the only Cabernet Sauvignon that PlumpJack has bottled from this renowned vineyard.
