Description
On recumbent clay slopes facing Milliken Peak, our estate-grown Syrah patiently waits its turn to be picked. Late in October, well after our Pinot Noir and Chardonnay have taken their turn on the crush pad, our Syrah, now fully ripe, is ready to reveal itself. The shallow, infertile soils have tempered this vine’s natural vigor, imparting concentration and rich tannins to back the strapping black cherry, black currant jam and pleasing spice notes, all carried beautifully along by the balanced natural acidity Carneros is known for.
