Description
Jack’s Block was named in honor of Jack Davies, who with his wife, Jamie, revived the historic Schramsberg winery on Diamond Mountain in 1965. The J.Davies Vineyards were the original hillside vineyards in the Napa Valley planted by Jacob Schram in 1862. Over the past twelve years, they have been replanted again, this time with red Bordeaux varietals. Jack’s Block produces late-ripening, richly concentrated fruit that makes elegant, balanced and delicious wine. This lot is 85% Cabernet Sauvignon (clone 4) and 15% Malbec (clone 595). This wine was made especially for Premiere Napa Valley. Here’s a toast to Jack!
