Description
Our 25-acre hillside vineyard is located against the eastern mountains of the Napa Valley, and it has long produced exceptional Cabernet and Merlot. Historically, only some 20% of our grapes have been estate bottled under the Farella-Park label and the balance has been sold to outstanding wineries, including Neyers, Robert Mondavi and Opus One. The Terrace Reserve is a blend from selected blocks identified by winemaker Tom Farella to showcase the vibrant fruit and soft, but ample, tannins characteristic of past Terrace Reserve vintages. The 2001 displays exceptional structure, with a bouquet and flavors of black olive and chocolate with notes of smoky cedar.
