To create the best wine possible, Bob Hartwell has always maintained the importance of farming all of our own fruit at Hartwell Estate Vineyards. “Grow the best grapes, make the best wine” has been our winemaking philosophy from the start and neatly sums up the control that we have over all aspects of our wine production and viticulture. For this very unique wine, Winemaker Benoit Touquette only uses fruit from vineyards at the top of Wappo Hill on our estate in the Stags Leap District. Planted in the late 1980s, this Bosche Clone Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard produces the best fruit on the property and we are proud to share it with you.
