Description

Our estate vineyards, Kronos and Sunbasket, come out to play with all our Cabernet lots for blending once a year, expressly for this “Premiere Reserve” wine. We're always looking to walk the fine line between power and elegance in these wines and to have them speak eloquently of time and place. All hail from benchland between Rutherford and St. Helena, a very special corner of the world for Cabernet Sauvignon. Kronos brings a deep, brooding note to the blend and Sunbasket contributes bright fruit. For Premiere Napa Valley, we added the conversation between old and younger vines. The Corison Cabernet is sourced from newer vineyards, replanted due to phylloxera, whereas Kronos is one of the last old Cabernet vineyards in the Napa Valley, planted more than 40 years ago on St. George rootstock.
