Description
This rare expression of Napa Valley winemaking is one of only 120 bottles that will ever be made. Think of it as a bit of Napa Valley history in your cellar and celebrated in a glass with friends and family. During the outstanding 2014 vintage, Newton’s Block 203 was identified early on as the parcel that represented the very best of the vintage, the vineyard and the nested appellation. The berries for your Premiere Napa Valley Mount Veeder 100% Cabernet Sauvignon were hand-picked and individually sorted before crushing. Fermentation lasted 10 days, followed by a further 35 days of post-maceration. The final wine expresses inky, cassis qualities and a fine gravelly structure. A wine certain to cellar well for a generation.

Robert Mann
Winemaker, Newton Vineyard
Born into a family with a strong appreciation of wine, Robert is the grandson of Jack Mann MBE, a legendary innovator and character in the Australian wine industry.
Robert gained wine industry experience as a young man working in the vineyards and as a cellar hand in the Swan Valley, Barossa Valley and Margaret River.

Honors / Awards:
During his tenure at Cape Mentelle he became widely recognized for his winemaking excellence especially with Cabernet Sauvignon and was twice awarded Producer of the Year as well as Winemaker of the Year by the prestigious West Australian Wine Guide.
Winemaking Philosophy:
Rob shares his grandfather's love of cricket, passion for wild mushroom foraging, and belief that "cabernet sauvignon is the only variety that would be tolerated in heaven".
