Description
This rare expression of Napa Valley winemaking is one of only 120 bottles that will ever be made. Think of it as a bit of Napa Valley history in your cellar and celebrated in a glass with friends and family. Your Premiere Napa Valley wine is sourced from a single block of the Bougetz Cellars vineyard, located 1,000 feet up on Spring Mountain. This vineyard site sits on an open knoll, above the fogline, and is the recipient of long, sunny days. This particular block of Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 337 Cabernet Sauvignon was chosen to make a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, as it benefits from the rocky, well-drained soil, which produces powerful, yet elegant wines.

After working a couple of harvest in the Pacific Northwest, I settled in the Napa Valley and have focused the past eight years on creating beautiful Cabernet Sauvignons and Bordeaux blends.
With the assistance of Kian Tavakoli, our consulting winemaker, we spend lots of time in the vineyards, selecting particular blocks to use for our wines.

Winemaking Philosophy:
We start in the vineyard by selecting blocks from very well managed vineyards, choosing to begin with the best fruit possible. In the cellar, we focus on method that assist in extracting the most from the fruit, while still handling it as gentle as possible. Minimal movement of the wine during aging with as little interruptions as possible. All wines are blended, as we have multiple rounds of barrel selection, and blending to put together the blends that best display the vintage and vineyard sites.
Kian Tavakoli

After graduating from UC Davis in 1992, with a degree in Genetics/minor in Viticulture, Kian was Opus One's Enologist for 4 years where he developed his love and passion for Cabernet/Bordeaux varieties winemaking. The next stop was an 8 year stint at Clos Du Val Winery where he was Associate Winemaker and eventually winemaker of their Cabernet program, where under the tutelage of Bernard Portet, he honed his skills in the craft of blending - creating refined, structured and well balanced wines.

Kian consults for 15 boutique, high end brands, and his breadth of winemaking knowledge enables him to produce wines ranging from crispy, vibrant Sauvignon Blancs to elegant, refined Pinot Noirs to dense, layered, and complex Cabernet based wines.
