Fogline
2014 Cabernet Sauvignon
Spring Mountain District
This rare expression of Napa Valley winemaking is one of only 60 bottles that will ever be made. Think of it as a bit of Napa Valley history in your cellar and celebrated in a glass with friends and family. Your Premiere Napa Valley wine is an artful Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend of classic red wine varieties from Spring Mountain’s 19th-century Chevalier and La Perla mountain vineyards. The grapes are sourced from high-elevation fogline blocks at an elevation of 1,400 feet, where optimal climate ensures slow, consistent ripening, resulting in a refined, structured wine with concentrated blue/black fruit shaped by silky tannins. Enjoyed now or cellar for twenty years.
Winemaker, Spring Mountain Vineyard
Susan was born in the Australian island state of Tasmania. Her early years were spent on a cattle and apple farm where she developed a lifelong love of the land. Her fascination with California winemaking blossomed after she worked a harvest in Sonoma's Russian River Valley. She took the helm at MacMurray Ranch in 2003 with responsibility for winemaking and vineyards. Susan comes to SMV from Diageo Chateau & Estates Wines where she was Director of Winemaking and Innovation for all domestic and international brands.
