Description
VinRoc Cabernet Sauvignon is produced from our estate vineyard. We harvest and ferment each block separately and then blend after barrel aging. Koko's Block (named for our Labrador Retriever) is located on the highest section of the vineyard. Some of our most intense fruit comes from this block. This lot will be bottled separately from Koko's Block.

2 years in French Oak barrels. One year in Bottle.

My wife and I built VinRoc from scratch. We learned and studied as we were planning and developing the vineyard and later building our winery. We soon found that Atlas Peak doesn't fit the textbook examples. The rugged rocky hillside that is the site of our Cabernet Vineyard required a different approach than the valley floor. My goal in making VinRoc is to produce a wine that truly reflects the unique qualities of our vineyard.

Q&A With the Winemaker
Q: Premiere Napa Valley wines are innovative and allow each winery to showcase the region's sense of exploration in fine winemaking. What kind of exploration did your Premiere Napa Valley wine allow you to do?
A: To produce wine from one specific block of our vineyard.
Q: What was your inspiration for this offering?
A: We make our wine in small (1 or 2 ton) batches, from each block seperately. After aging we blend the best barrels. I wanted to identify what I feel was our best barrel and bottle it seperately.

A: I chose to make this wine from this particular block because I have always felt that this was our best block, but never have acutally bottled it seperately.

A: This is the cream of our crop.
